Get ready for some hot NFL coaching rumors! The Tennessee Titans, after a disappointing start to the season, have fired their head coach, Brian Callahan. Now, the search is on for his replacement, and it's an exciting prospect for Titans fans.
But here's where it gets interesting...
Two names are already generating buzz: Matt Nagy and Arthur Smith. Nagy, a former head coach of the Chicago Bears, brings experience and a winning record to the table. He led the Bears to a playoff berth in his first year and has a solid overall record. However, his time with the Bears ended on a sour note, with a disappointing 2021 season.
Nagy then returned to the Kansas City Chiefs, where he's been an integral part of their offensive success, including two Super Bowl wins. But here's the catch: head coach Andy Reid calls the plays, so Nagy's role might be a little overstated.
Then there's Arthur Smith, a Tennessee native and a familiar face to Titans fans. Smith rose through the ranks with the Titans, eventually becoming their offensive coordinator. He parlayed that success into a head coaching job with the Atlanta Falcons, but his stint there was short-lived, with three consecutive 7-10 seasons.
Smith is now with the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he's overseeing an offense that's showing some promise.

While Nagy and Smith are in the spotlight, it's unlikely that the Titans will hire Joe Brady, the Buffalo Bills' offensive coordinator. At 36, Brady is a young, up-and-coming coach, but the Titans might be hesitant to hire another young, inexperienced head coach after the Callahan experiment.
